Alice in Wonderland Card Gift set

Well in Keeping with the latest trends i decided to make an Alice in Wonderland card and gift set.
As you can see the set comprises of Matching Card and box , Altered round box and Alice , rabbit
AND......a surprise inside too !!

I made this for these challenges ..
Shabby Tea room - use scraps
Allsorts challenge blog - Alter something
Creative Card Crew - Vintaged /aged - alice is vintage charator and  well i have inked and distressed the edges  too !
Simon Says - Distressing
By the cute and girly challenge blog - fairytales !
and i also think it fits
Mo's Challenge - pastels - spring stuff  ,greens blues etc

So the card ... I used K and Co papers and some prima  from Charmed Cards with a few scraps thrown in !

I distressed and inked the card and used a leaf punch for the tree leaves , Alice and cat are both images from the Mo Manning collection- fits just perfect does'nt it ! Image is coloured with copics.

Inside the card is decorated with punched leaves , lazer cut flourishes and ive used
boyfriend  Calvin treated me too from Charmed ( on special offer too !)
Ive altered a little round box .  I had the perfect adornments from my Meyer imports DT kit ,
the playing cards and the grass from the earth flakes kit !
The rabbit and alice are made from fimo .and Alice can sit ontop or be taken off , she would make a perfect cake topper too !

The rabbit has a little Jacket on and is holding a pocket watch .
 .
and look he has just popped up from a burrowed hole ....hold on theres a
surprise inside !

He heeee his feet are poking out at the bottom !!! and theres the cheshire cat too !

ERRRRRRRR .... I would'nt if i was you calvin mouse !

Well dont say i did'nt warn you !

Ha ha !  Well i did warn you .... you will just have to wait till it wears off im afraid !

Hope you like the gift set ,  and if you like it alot its on my ebay !(look at the top right of my blog for the link )
Please note that this is a keepsake /Topper and not meant as a toy .

Oh if you would like to know where the cupcake cottage went ...

Oh Maddy, I just love your Fimo-wonderfulness! And teeny tiny Calvin - hilarious, that'll teach him to go around pinching drinks. Good job those little teds from Cupcake Cottage aren't around, they'd have loved to see him cut down to size - lol!

Hugs, Nicki, xx

Maddy our thoughts converge :))))) There is a Russian proverb "a fool thoughts like ":)))) This joke :))))
You did a wonderful set of Fimo, in addition to the map. This is very interesting and unlike the others.
I see Celvin still cheerful and active. I can not imagine a blog without it. Hello Celvin!

I saw a picture MoD for Alice. But I wanted more. I take from MoD white rabbit.

Another great project Maddy, i love the rabbits feet underneath.

As for the mouse, Rotty always said he was a furry little runt...he'd laugh if he saw that he was an even littler furry little runt now! :)

Oh Maddy! You are priceless!! Not only do you come up with the (fab) goods every time, you manage to take it to another level! And if that isn't enough, you inject a well-placed dose of humour into a, sometimes, rather humourless art-form!
Calvin is just....well, Calvin! LOL!
You are one talented lady and I love ya!

oh Maddy you made me laugh at your cute little mouse and ALice!! hahaha....I swear you should write children's books!!
Love your project!! Beautiful card and I tell you that your your fimo pieces are out of this world.

I tried your rabbit tutorial and I can't get the fimo soft enough to do what I want it to do. :o( So not sure I will try that again.
Don't know how you do it.

Happy Easter to you and yours..
hugs, Janiel

maddy hill said...

lol thanks Jan,,,
I'l let you into a little demonstrators secret !!!

if your fimo is abit on the hard side , (which it can be if its abit oldish )

When its still in the packet one of the tricks was too sit on it ! or hold it in your hand and warm it up . fortunatly i use fimo that is fresh on the shelves , so i dont have that problem.

another trick is too , cut it up into tiny tiny pieces and then roll it in your hands.. you can buy mix quick , but that can make it too soft if you get the ratio wrong...
hope that helps !
maddy xxxx

scrappyjan said...

thanks Maddy..

maybe I am just getting to old for my hands to work that way!! LOL......

i bought it new and it is so hard and hard to work with.. it does sofften but not alot.. i gave up!
HAPPY EASTER!!
