Challenge card and Karens Candy !

Just a quickie card today , 

Its Princess tilda and ive added a  die - cut butterfly which i coloured with

twinkling H2o's .so she is now a fairy princess !

the Happy birthday sentiment is a whimsy stamp here

Sir Stampalot Challenge make - Gazing at the butterflies altered bookcase !

               This is my entry for the Sir Stampalot challenge , they have a totally amazing prize on offer - a Cricut !

Now the pictures really dont do this make justice - the light was not good today !

When i saw the Sir Stampalot  challenge i went and did alittle shopping in thier store ....... 

and i came across this fantastic little mini album bookcase 

here its a Kaiser Craft blank and was less the £7.00 !

The challenge is " Fantasy " and in the stamp section i bought an amazing stamp , 

i havent stop using this stamp since i got it !!

Its a fairytale  castle stamp , ive been a bit different and 

used it stamping on fimo for the bookcase.

so without further a do ...... lets have a looksie shall we ? lol

Let me introduce you to ....

Belinda Butterfly Fairy Princess ....

There she is just spending her day gazing at the  butterflies in 

her fairy wood.. 

Im sure this little bookcase would be perfect for housing all sorts of crafty goodies !

but for me they are housing some mini albums i made (maze books) .

There was such alot of work that went into this project ... so many 

faffy details that im glad i actually took the time to do , as it is so very

pretty in real life .

I inked the  castle stamp up with die base ink and rolled and flattened some fimo and then stamped directly onto it ......  then i stamped again on pink and lilic fimo - Ive some pictures of it in the making below..

I adorned it in layers adding  a layer for the door , and went round the ink with fimo matching it up 

to the ink . Once baked i added a heart bead to the door .... then 

I coloured the Castle  in with COPICS !  yes it works a treat !

Each leaf was punched out and the edges coloured with copics , the blooms are a mixture primas

and some from my stash - they started off white , and then 

i sprayed them with glimmer spray ,

The large leaves are punched using the ash branch  here.

The tiny butterfly is a die cut - i coloured it with twinkling h2 os ,

All the leaf punches i used are available at Stamplot.

Now to the fairy , well she was alot more work than my usual ! 

I'l start off with her wings ... This was a butterfly die cut , it was red , so i first painted it a base of white ,

then i used some Designer Metal Leaf and pva glue , its real tricky stuff but worth it , looks  like real gold in the sun 

The metal leaf is available in sheets from Sir Stampalot here ..

and is just perfect for wings ! , once that had dried i then sealed it with glossy accents and sprinkled some glitter on them .

I twisted some earring wire and added beads to make her tieria

To get the look of the glitter pouring out i first took some earring wire and curled it round a pencil.

I dipped it in glue and let it dry , then i kept building the glue layers up to get the thickness ,  It took some time but Once dry i then added some very fine ultra glitter.

The bookcase comes flat packed and is so simple to put together..

If your clever with your matching up you can get away with one sheet of 12 x12 for the inside , with just a small strip of patch up 

on the back first shelf . I decorated the sides and the underside of the shelves with a matching pink paper.

I used tacky pva glue to glue the paper ..

Then i painted the edges with a paint dauber.

The dog by the way nearly got glued too !

 The mushrooms were made using brads - i snipped off the prongs and just 

pushed them into to the unbaked fimo . After baking the mushroom i 

mixed some tacky glue with a bit of water and brushed it over the mushroom and then sprinkled some fine glitter over it .

it was baked on the bookcase -

Fairytale Magnolia Gift Set ..

Well what started off just following a simple sketch ended up a full scale set !

I do get abit carried away sometimes !

Card complete with box to house it in and a Little frog Princess !

I thought the Princess could make a smashing gift or prehaps 

a topper on a cake !

I used my new magnolias i got from Bunny Zoes shop 

and the papers are from the Bo Bunny range Jazmyne

available from charmed cards here . 

They are actually glittered but you cant tell from the photo.

I actually paid 1.15 at my local craft shop , but karen at charmed cards has

them for 89p !!! i should have shopped there !

 Princess tilda has coloured with copics and glamour dust has been added 

to her dress fringes.

Im calling her Princess but i believe the Tilda is the "lady" one.

Ive punched out leaves and adorned the castle window with them ,

i thought it was quite a nice effect.

Edges of the card have been distressed and 

The sentiment is a whimsy Happy Birthday stamp

and the Enchanted Kindom ticket was a freebie in the craft magazine !

I've decorated the inside of the card , but just on the corners.

here is the box for the birthday card , adorned with a 

Pretty glittered Tilda ballerina , ribbon , tag , bloom and

pearls .

I made a little Frog Princess from fimo to match .. her dress is all sparkly with 

glitter ..she isnt as big as my usual models - shes 7cm tall .

Just look at that frogs face ! i did giggle while making him !

i wonder if he looks like that because shes just kiss him ? hee hee !

Challenge Birthday card .

 Its been a pretty hectic week for me , i bet you thought id disappeared !

Calvin my boyfriend came up and we have had a great time shopping and 

mooching around .. leeds has some fantastic shops and nibble places and we

made full use of them !

Today i made a card using a digital image designed by  Chrissy Armstrong 

He is called "Hang in there"  and he is just so cute !

The Happy Birthday is also a whimsy stamp , 

Ive had this paper lying around the craft room for ages and then when i coloured this cutie in 

i knew that was the paper i needed - just perfect with those spots and squares.

I wanted to keep it free of blooms so that it was suitable for boy or girl ,

I punched out some leaves and chalked some darker green around them , 

and adorned the edges of the nestie with them so that it gave more of a tree look .

Has'nt it just been gorgeous day today ? - the sun just shone through my craft room as i was crafting ,

ive had a lovely day today !

I made a card using the Pirate Tilda , all pink - well I guess girly 

Pirates can be Pink !

I had a perfect wording stamp - Girls can be Pirates too ...ive had the

stamp for a few years now ,and im ashamed to say i must have used it once -

Im terrible with stamps , i always loose the packaging ,

so im afraid i can't tell you what it is , however it did come in 

a set of them with some wings and others with the set if anyone

reconises it ! 

The ship is a wooden stamp that ive had for a few years too , the papers ?

well ......... i dont know them either .... im not doing terribly well on this post am i ? ha ha... 

i  used Stickles glitter on the scull and crossbones and the 

ship portholes.

and inked the edges on the nestie.

i decorated the inside also - just kept it very simple this time.

actually the truth is i was using my scraps so did'nt really have

enough to go to town with ! ha ha 

I also made a card box for it too , again just a simple decoration.

as always , i wrap some tissue too around the card ready for it to be sent.

I was really tempted to make a little fimo Pirate girlie .. but i might save that one for another day !

Challenge card , toppers and some fabulous news !

Well ive been a busy bee in the craft room this week,

making some toppers for ebay , i love doing this  i have to say , i just play and relax  

and use my scraps up !!

the topper above is Princess Tilda..

Calvin sent me some gorgeous beaded trimming that i thought was just perfect for this topper.

I love that cute little frog !!

I had so much fun with this i went on to do some nestie toppers too .

The picture i have to say just doesnt do it justice .. they are so sparkerly !
I had an odd bloom left over from my bloom kit from creative treasures that i used and stickled it with glitter.

Well i was on a roll making so then went onto do a Challenge card, why stop 

when i was having so much fun ! 

Sophia my daughter was at her Nanas so i had some extra time to myself.

Here is my the card i made for some 

challenges.

I love this colour combo of cherry pinks and warm yellows!

It lifted my  whole mood when using these colours .

I dont know what the paper is called , it came from a big stack i got at Harrogate 

years ago , and ive lost the front of it .

The pearls Calvin sent me a while back, and the butterflies 

are two different size punches.You can get a simular one from here
at charmed cards.

I've used a metal embelly from my stash - wording - original .

and some warm yellow ribbon to finish it off with .

Now for the fab news !

Yesterday we found out that my daughter Sophia has a new flat just 2 minutes away from me !

for those who dont know , Soph has Aspergers and Adhd as well as other disabilities.

There is a new complex that has just been built that has all the support she needs !

They help her in the transition to be independent ,

they even help her with shopping !

I am soooooo pleased - i have worried so much about her , 

i never thought this could happen for years i have fought to get her the 

right support and worried so much for the future,

and  now my prayers have been answered ,

we are all so very  chuffed !

alittle catch up !

Ive alittle bit of catching up on some thank you's !

I had a wonderful Easter and full of lovely goodies too !

heres the gorgeous Egg and scroll by boyfriend calvin made for 

me, i would have shown you the inside but i scoffed all the chocolates !

It is much better in real life i have to say ..and i was chuffed to bits to recieve it ... he is such a thoughtful boyfriend - i know im a lucky gal !

and then came a gift from Sophia my daughter ... she's nearly 20 

and she just loves Calvin Mouse - even to the point that she once

refuse to speak to my boyfriend calvin if he brought Rotty Rat up when he 

comes up to see me ..ha ha ha !
