Sweet Daisy !

We are thick thick thick with snow here ..... i do hope the postman can get to my house , im waiting for goodies !

I am so chuffed how this topper turned out ,  I  love the paper - create paper - restoration collection i believe and theres a bit from my scraps - so i dont know the name of that one.

I have a bucket in my  craft room which has all my embellishments in . I had a good rummage and found right at the bottom some mayer road metal ribbon sliders - a whole little tin ful that i had forgotton about ! 

Another rummage revealed some fabric k and co brads and some little holders ( have'nt a clue what the scrap name is for them !) 

So i went to town on this topper ! 

I got my big shot out and used a label die , and cut out some chipboard and covered it with paper ,  I then had a little chipboard heart and hung it over the label with chain.

The image is Daisy - apparently no longer available - what a shame , she is such a dream to colour.

Quickie blog candy and Sneaky tilda

I just love this tilda - sneaky tilda that i got from Karen at Charmed cards ..She is a real dream to colour !

I thought i would add a splash of bright pinky red with the blooms and i think it really lifts it ..

I was rummaging through my craft room and found a stamp that I had'nt used and no longer need ,  So i thought maybe one of you would like it ....

Its a blue christmas !

Well its snowing here and its freezing ... what better post than a topper and dolly thats wrapped up in warm winter coats !

Heres the topper..

The hearts are crackle painted and the blooms have gorgeous german glass glitter on .

Colourful Gorjuss Girl !

 

I've had a great day today - my dd Georgie was singing with a band doing a concert in front of the Lord Mayor in Leeds -just got back and im shattered now , i really enjoyed it , they did really well ! 

Right onto my topper - i have to say i really loved making this - i wasnt expecting all the colours to blend - but it has ! Im not a big one for stripes - so im not a big user of striped paper - but it worked i think..

I made a little fimo teddy charm for the topper too . 

I was a bit naughty in the week and treated myself to some new nesties !

I cut out two and layered them so that the scalloped edges overlapped , and cut one in half and separated the halfs for the mat on the sentiment - if your after the same nestie its called Half moon and is available at 

charmed  cards as is the lace too. I cant remember where i got the bobble trim from , but i think the brown works surprisely well -

I have used a sugar nellie Gorjuss girl - and ive used glossy accents on her boots  , it really brought out the colour of them .

The butterflies i got from ebay from the states - and i stickle glittered the edges.

Hee hee , now how could i resist telling a story when theres two little fairies !

This is part of a set i made - it  does have a card to match , but my battery went dead on the camera and i had to get the order off ! sorry folks - this one isnt on  my ebay  .

but i  did manage to get a couple of pics of the fimo dolly and box before the camera went dead !

The gift set is for a birthday for a lovely Irish lady - fairies are perfect !

You can imagine how fiddly the tiny fairies were to make !

Little Daisy Papertake Dt !

This week on the Papertake weekly challenge is a real easy one for ya ! The challenge is "cut it out"  in others words use die cuts or punches or just simple cut it out ! and its sponsored 

by digital delights .

So this week ive made a sweet sugar nellie Daisy topper - i so love this image !

The papers i got from the fabulous charmed cards and the sentiment was from the lovely Jacqui at cats whiskers - who generously gave me it  with the blog candy - i love it ! 

I've used border punches and die cut hearts , and also a die cut scallop circle for the sentiment - that was a nestie .

A little Gorjuss and some doggie news !

Well first the doggie news - little snoops is home from the vet hospital ... shes alot better , not 100% but alot better thank goodness. They are still not quite sure what it was - Mojo is showing no signs of poorlyness - which we are all relieved about . I think we can breathe a sigh of relief now !

Well heres a topper that i made yesterday ..

I used the sketch from the sugar bowl challenge - there was also an optional extra of b/w and another colour-- but since im not a b/w fan i just used the sketch.

Pretty gingham Tilda

 

Its been another busy few days - My mums little yorkie is at the vets and has been overnight .. Little snoops is really poorly and they dont know if its pavro virus of gastroentiritus  - so we just have to wait and see - both are not good viruses to have . Snoops went to my daughter sophs flat  too - and she has mojo a jack russell - so i'l be spending the afternoon totally disinfecting her flat ... wow thats gonna be a job - washing all the bedding and settee covers , doors the lot - pavro is very contagious to dogs... so thoughts and prayers please for little snoops and we just hope mojo doesnt get it --- apparently if they have had thier booster injections they are less likely to catch it .So we are keeping our fingers crossed .!

If you have a dog yourself , it maybe wise to check they have had the booster - pavro apparently is rife at the moment .

Back to the Topper ..

This is one of my favourite Tildas i just love her coat - i want one ! hehee

The adore sentiment is from a 7 gypies stamp. Its one of those that have several sentiments and you twist a handle and a different one appears - it is so useful - particually as i am always loosing other stamps !

I had a chipboard butterfly and used the gingham ribbon to cover it - it was'nt quite wide enough so i joined it in the middle .

I used the sketch from cute card thursday - but did it from memory , - so its alittle out ! lol

Well id better get off and go put my gloves on , looks like i shall be on my hands and knees all afternoon , i have really bad knees so im gonna root around for some knee pads i use to have .... wish us luck !

Miss you Tilda ,

 

Just a quickie post from me tonight as i am off to sophs for dinner - spag boll is on the menu ..

Its been a year today  since my dear Dad died - i did'nt realise when i started this post that the topper was 

a miss you card--- isnt that strange -i just didnt put the two together until ive just looked up and realised ...and this is the first miss you card ive made too !

My Dad had a stroke as well as already being very ill and was on oxygen for a few years , 

I got him into card making ! and strangly when he held a pair of scissors his shaking stopped . Many of 

my forum friends sent my dad card making gear ! his favourite was rudolf , he just loved sticking the pom pom nose on ! rofl .... oh i do miss him ...

I know I posted this pic a year ago - but i can't resist posting it again as it so makes me smile ...

This was a big day for my dad - he wrote  a card for my mum , big step for someone who has had a stroke .. we marked the occasion with a photo !

My  Dad never stopped laughing at his rudolfs googly eyes ! 

Im not going to be sad today - my Dad made me laugh

too many times to not think of him and smile !

Well back to my card topper eh?

Cupcake Princess Tilda Fimo clay card set ..

Boy has it been a rush today !  with soph moving and  then Jill the lovely lady who came to pick her order up above ..Now i have say that because i  photographed some of it very early this morning the picture above is not as bright as as colourful as the ones taken in the sunshine or in real  .. i had to put some card behind it and so the light was blocked .. however the ones taken individually are much nicer and true.

Well this set is for Jills daughter and the brief was a princess, cupcakes and a teddy!  So i created a scene of  Tilda princess and in her castle window i put a stack of cupcakes ! Around the window is punched out leaves and blooms - 
The cupcakes are made from fimo and i added some fimo sprinkles !
The papers are bo bunny which i bought from charmed cards..
I made an envelope box for the card too .

All the blooms are glittered and adorning the card and envelope box is a glittered prima butterfly that i got from the states on ebay .

 

 and heres the fimo Princess  , complete with teddy and a cupcake ! 

she comes with her own box ( seen in the first picture)

I hope her daughter likes it !

Hanglar puddle boy !

Just a quickie post tonight as my head is pounding - i had a bit of red wine at lunch time and oh boy - bad head mad now ! I am usually ok with red - but maybe just not today eh ?
This topper i made , i practically raided the whole house to finish making ... you see i could'nt find my glossy accents that i wanted for the puddle and i know i've got some !  Well i could not find it anywhere so used silver glitter around the edge of the puddle instead - and ya know to my surprise it actually looks good like that !

 

Now if your a hanglar fan you will think - hang on a minute - that stamp does not have patches on the trousers ! Well your right it does'nt !  but i added some with some gingham squares and coloured around it with copics and added some faux stitching .

I used some tim holtz distress embossing powder on the circle where the ribbon goes through - but i didnt heat it up so it creates a fab red texture instead.

I used a Sketch from the friday Sketchers - but i think its got lost in all the embellies lol ... but if you look hard it is there !

Its a Pink Christmas with Tilda !

 

I loved creating this topper - christmas in pink i don't think ive ever done that one before !

 

I found some silver meshy /woven fabric in my big box of ribbons and thought it would be just perfect 

for the background .. and then i raided another box that i had stashed away in the spare room and there in the box was all the stamps i had forgotten that i had ! Including the "let it snow " sentiment -

I've got a real busy few days ahead - a family lunch out tommorow , and soph moving monday ...

plus dog sitting and finishing off a few orders , i wish i had'nt had that mulled wine and german beer at the 

german christmas market last night . I am not really a drinker so it takes me days to get over having

a tipple !... which is worry as i know sophs bought me a bottle of bailys for chrimbo --- yum !

Altered tilda , pretty in pink !

 

Firstly id like to thank Jacqui from cats whiskers - i was one of the winners for the fab candy  , i am so chuffed , thank you hunny ! look what i won !

Right now on to the altered Tilda Topper !

I've used websters pages and gingham paper , lots of pretty details on this topper.

 Tilda has had her apples replaced with flowers , theres blooms ,lace and  a crackled painted heart .

I bought  some 6 inch hat pins / stick pins from charmed cards - you get 12 in the pack and they are absolutly fabby as you can use pliers and cut them in half - which makes 24 of them woo hoo ! one end is a head pin and the other 

is a stick pin ( you need to glue the stick pin end ,  just to keep it on for sure)

available at charmed here .

Heres what i needed .

once you bead the hat pin you can glue the stick pin part and dip in glitter if wish !

I added some mesh too on mine, gold but i used the underside to show.

Now i just wanna say that Karen from charmed has started stocking magnolias ! Yeah !!!

anyway if you have been everywhere on the net and the brother and sister , tilda and snowman stamp is out of stock everywhere then karens your gal - shes got them in and i swear that woman attaches wings to your stash as
she has always despatched mine on the day ive ordered !
