Sweet Elisabeth Bell card ...

Well i was naughty and raided Calvins craft stash once again !

I did bring some papers but not many stamps or blooms .

In Calvins stash i found one of his favourite stamps - Elisabeth Bell one .

I believe these old designs are being released again very soon .

I think im right in saying , that this was the stamp that caused Calvin ( my boyfriend) to make a stamp guardian - the infamous Rotty Rat !

The incident went around blogs all around the world .It was all very funny .

For all you long regular followers you may remember the incident of the sugar nellie Elisabeth Bell stamp being posted to my address and not Calvins -

 and i refused to give it back , which caused several months of  blog posts of

 him torturing my Calvin mouse ! ( my fimo blog mouse )- oh he was so cruel ! lol.

I got my own back by encouraging everyone to make  an Elisabeth bell card and post them on thier blogs

and send the link to Calvin ! hehee - i can be cruel too !

anyway back to the card - yes this time its a card and not a topper.

I've coloured the stamp with copics and the papers are again the gorgeous

prima pad "madeline" available from charmed cards and crafts .

lots of detail on this card , a tassle from Calvins stash and some metal corners too .

Blooms and brads  and layered card and papers.

The butterflies where cut out individually from some gorgeous butterfly trim.

A Sweet Sarah kay !

What a to do i've had ! I had everything organised for my DT Papertake weekly Challenge .

Everything was prepared apart from photographing the topper and then the battery went dead !

I had about an hour and half to catch the train to calvins , so i thought il just charge it up and then its sorted...

Until Georgie my daughter turned up to stay while i was awhile and i totally forgot !

Well i got to Calvins and raided his stash ! fortunatly i did bring a couple of stamps and

some papers with me , but no embellishments so had a good sift around Calvins craft room !

I've used my gorgeous charmed cards DT papers - the new prima pads,

and these papers are from the "madeline " prima pad , I adore these papers so much - i

had to go get the A4 size too - they are very yummy !

I pinched some lace and some metal photo corners from Calvins stash .

The sweet card candy was also in my DT kit .. so many gorgeous colours !¬

karen also has some of the new sarah kays in as well as some 

favourites !

Pretty pink faith

Well i spent the afternoon having coffee with a friend and then finish little faith ...

Lots of little details on this topper , the heart is pink german glass glitter (meyer imports)

and white pretty sparkle  lace from charmed cards that has tiny fine glitter on ... its very pretty .

The chipboard flourishes are embossed with white and a pretty baby pink glittery embossing powder called mothers day pink.

and on the edges of the image ive used the same embossing powder ..

I've beaded the hatpin too.

Pretty Pinks and lime greens !

I adore these two little Tildas ... as much as the "new " Tildas are fabulous , the old ones have some magic too them i think ..

 

I used a Martha Stewart punch- cloudy hearts , The papers are scraps from my stash , and the Tildas are coloured with copics . I love the combo of pink and lime green .. 

I did'nt have much left of my lime green checkered ribbon , so just tied it into a knot and 

i think it looks quite cute like that .

Papertake Dt make !

I  have had such a hectic weekend - my soph has had trouble with her widom teeth and it effected her throat and ears too ,.... luckly after many hours up all night she got to see an emergancy dentist and shes got some anitbotics - but poor lass she didnt look well at all and  thats why im late with my papertake DT challenge make ! .  sorry !x

Well my valentines day was spent nursing soph ... but Calvin treated me to some papers online ,

then the postman came this morning with some Dt papers from Karen at charmed .. and she 

must know me far too well as there in the package was the very paper pad im waiting for !

The new prima paper pads  and they are GORGEOUS and come in two sizes .

The papers ive used are from the Botanical pad - theres a few new pads on karens site

Theres even one named after me ( madeleine) ..... and i didnt even know they knew me heheeeeee !

A little Tilda and blog candy winner !

 Thought id share a cute Tilda topper i have on ebay on the mo... ive combined one of the new 2011 window with a 2010 tilda ... cherry tilda

I've sewn around the edges and used flowersoft around the window for abit of 

texture.Gorgeous german glass glitter is on the butterfly .

Karen at  charmed has some gorgeous k and co medalilions in and they look gorgeous

in the middle of the prima bloom - they are here ..

Papertake weekly DT make.... have a heart

Gosh i think all that wind we have had over the last few days has blown all the nasty weather away ! Bright bright sunshine here now !

Well its Tuesday and that means its Papertake weekly challenge sponsored this week by whiff of joy ..

The challenge is have a heart - easy one and for me too - i do love my hearts ! 

I so enjoyed making this topper - its Verity from sugar nellie .( i used the stamp version of her ( theres a digi too ).. and it has so many little details on it that you dont spot at first ..I have painted the heart in tim holtz crackle distress paint ...and the pretty butterflies i made using a butterfly embossing folder ..and i just cut round them...

I prettied the butterflie up with silver and white alcohol inks and utee.

.. it looks really gorgeous in real  .. tucked up at the side is some light pink diamonte sprays ...

 

Verity has been coloured with copics and her hair ribbon has a light dusting of glitter.

I was so tempted to keep this topper as it would'nt just make a card but i thought it would make such a pretty and delicate looking album front too ..

Planting some love !

Today i'd like to share this topper ... ive only used this stamp a few times ... i don't know why as i really enjoy colouring her !  The stamp is an old sugar nellie one called Planting some love - designer Elisabeth Bell ,    Im not a lilac person but i really like this violetty colour ..

I have embossed the purple bloom with alcohol inks , embossing powder and Utee . (ultra thick embossing enamel )  ... a bit like i do for my hearts on my other toppers.

 You can't really see the marbling in the picture , but in real its very pretty !

The ribbon slider i found on in a packet of about 4 on a jewellery stand in a garden centre !

and the little butterfly is embossed card using an embossing folder and just cutting around it .

I do hope your not all getting sick of little Daisy ..but she was just lying on my craft table and just couldnt resist - again !

 I loved making this topper ... lots of little details on this ...I  beaded and glittered the hatpin with 

the fabulous german glass glitter, and threaded it thought the lace ... with beads inbetween.

On the heart i used crackle distress paint ... 

theres a gorgeous fabric brad holding down the rolled edge of the paper -

and a small piece  ribbon there too

most of the papers are Tilda panduro .

Can't believe its Tuesday already ! Today is PaperTake weekly challenge and here is my DT make ..

This week we are sponsored by LOTV ( lilli of the valley) and the challenge is an easy one -

I  made this red heart with Utee , alcohol inks and powder .... its quite a complicated process and a bit dangerous ... as if im not careful can get too hot and im sure i do it on the verge of it catching fire   !  .. ive been lucky so far though !

The stamp is lotv and so is the sentiment .The gorgeous little fairy has glitter on her wings and is coloured with copics.
