This is a short post folks as i have Sophia in hospital for a week - shes ok but is having some hydro therapy which should do her joints a world of good and im a bit hectic with things at the moment.

I've used the gorgeous melody prima papers and some prima flowers from charmed cards.

The metal corners are from my boyfriend Calvins stash .

I'd like to enter this topper into this challenge.

Hi folks , its been a mad rush today , so im alittle late posting my challenge card for this weeks Papertake weekly challenge... This week its a make for Mothers Day or a Girlie card , and this is my card .

I've used a real cute Hanglar stamp - she was a real joy to colour ! The papers are from the "madeleine "

prima range from charmed cards and are real pretty .

I've used some decorative metal corners and i beaded a hat - pin .

The pretty decorative gem is from k and co from charmed cards.

I really really enjoyed making this card and i adore blues and browns together.

I really raided my stash on this one ! 

Ive used sigar nellie - Elisabeth Bell stamp.

I had some beautiful fabric k and co brads with little gems on , i could not resist using one on

this card it was so pretty.

I've glittered the blooms and made a German glass glittered heart (glitter sky blue) and edged it with 

skickles and ink... The glitter .is actually more of 

a grey / silvery blue.

I've used the "out of the nestie " technique for the image and nestibility .

The edges of the paper is sewn and inked.

and theres  little heart charm dangling from the blooms at the top.

This week over at the Just Magnolia and challenge blog  "its your favourite colour combo" . Well

i have a few but decided to go for pink and green.

I have glittered the blooms and added some butterflies that i've cut out of dp papers and a 

little gem to the middle.

The gorgeous large gem is from charmed cards.

Tilda in the Pink and Copic Tutorial.

 

I've had lots of catching up to do since coming back from Calvins .... but i've had a few hours today to make some toppers - and this one i totally adored making ..its so pretty in real.

Tilda is from the "so special collection " and i've coloured her with darker skin tones ... some people find darker skin tricky ... i use these colours in this order..and this is my favourite copic combination.

It maybe be different from other peoples - but this is how i colour ..

R43 - cheeks ,E21,  E53 ,E33 , E34, E15

I use a combination of small circular strokes and light sketchy brush strokes.

Copic Skin Tone Tutorial .

1. colour cheeks - i use R43 - but any bright reddish pink will be fine

2. colour the whole face with E21.

3.  Using E53 colour around the edge and into the face but not quite all  the way into the middle -

4.  Next using E33 colour around the edge but not quite in as far as the E43.

5.  Now do the same with E34, again not as far in as the previous colour .

6. Go around the edge of the face  with E15.

7. Now blend all the colours gently with E53 going right over the whole face.You may need to practice how much blending to do as it is easy to do too much and have a mottled effect.

You may wish to touch up the cheeks alittle with a slightly paler pinky red.

On this topper i have used Prima papers from the "madeleine " pad collection - i got the A4 size 

from charmed cards and also my cute Tilda .

The large glittery textured bloom is from Prima and ive used a Martha Stewert punch for the foilage.

Id just like to take this opportunity to have a blog shout for 

karen.

whos dog was attacked by another dog - whos owner had it off the lead. Be warned there is 

graphic pictures on her blog ..however there is also a link for a petition regarding the 

dangerous dogs act..... i have a big passion for this as I myself and my two daughters have 

been attacked in the last year around 4 times by dogs off the lead - and also our little dog

mojo has been bitten several times by dogs off the lead. Please take a moment to register a vote.

The act really does need sorting out and needs to protect people and our beloved doggies

from irresponable dog owners .

DT papertake weekly Challenge make .

..Its Tuesday and that means its Papertake weekly Challenge .For the challenge this week we are asking for 3 of something - it could be 3 buttons or 3 different things... mine is flowers , lace and a hatpin.

I've used one of the new Tildas from the magnolia stamp club - spring collection.

The papers are called love letters and ive used some lace from my boyfriends stash .

Cute Tilda is coloured with copics.

Easter Tilda !

What a gorgeous day it has been today - bright beautiful sunshine , such a lovely change ! I photographed this Tilda topper on the window sill and  i love how clear it makes photos - much better than my photo tent.

I've used the gorgeous stamps from the new magnolia stamp club spring collection 2011 .. Tilda is so adorable with her little bunny ! The papers are from the A4 size Prima pad - Reflections collection from Charmed Crafts - i must say the A4 size is a fabulous size to use for cards as there is still some left over for all the mats for layers .. i actually prefer it to 6 x 6 sizes.The pad is available HERE .

I've made a embossed a chipboard heart with layered inks and powders in matching colours .

Back to blogging !

If your wondering why i haven't been blogging , ive had a real bad cold and im using Calvins computor ... and i am not getting along with it at all !

Apart from the fact it takes ages to do anything on , it does not have my usual links on and it does not seem to like my blog - everything i try and upload takes ages ! arghhhh ..

I've been using Calvins stash still , and a limited supply of stamps lol ..i did bring some DT papers down with me and thats what ive used on this topper  also a Sarah Kay stamp.

The papers are from Charmed cards and is more of the Prima pads - again this one is "madeleine " range.

I have something really special waiting at home to finish using these papers and some fimo too , but you 'l have to wait im afraid until the weekend and i should have a chance to finish it for then..

Not only im i nicking his stash but also his camera -- which judging by the quality of the photo does not

like me either ! lol ..
