My Favourite Cards top 5 !

I have been in and out of my craft room this week making some new cards - all of which are not quite finished yet - so in the meantime i thought i would show you my top 5 favourtie cards and makes from this year ... my first is is the gorgeous cotton rabbit by sugar nellie stamps - and i made the little fimo rabbit too ..
I love this one !

and heres another strawberry favourite of mine too .. ( oh and yes i made the fimo dollies to match the card )

I know ... im a real Tilda Stamp fan ! This one because i loved making the heart and using inks and heat embossing ..

theres a few home made embellies on this one , the fimo flower and the distressed painted tab too ..

Fimo , Radio , TV what ???

Well ive managed to do alittle crafting , i made some fimo earrings , pigs , penquins and christmas puddings .

The penquins have'nt got there eyes on yet ( oh poor things !) ive yet to finish them ...

and a few snowman too !

Georgettes News !!!

Now then your all going to be AMAZED at what has happened to Georgette my daughter over

the last few days ... and if you have any budding popstars or singer/ songwriters in the family her

blog here is a must see A GIRL CALLED GEORGE ..

In brief - Georgette entered a singing competition ...open mic uk , in order to promote herself

she went on local radio stations with her backing muscians Phil and Nay .. one such station

is Yorkshire radio who ask her to perform a football Terrace song

Marching on together .She did and the leeds fans loved it .. they tweeted and emailed the station to play it

again ... and again .... and again ..every day this is happening

They started emailing George to buy the single - but she

does'nt have one ... One fan suggested it would make a fitting tribute to the very sad loss

of Gary Speed and the proceeds go to charity .

So the Leeds Utd fans have now set up a campaign on facebook for it to be released as a tribute charity single !!

T.V picked up on it and Georgette , Nay and Phil were on the BBC news

Gary Speed Tribute slot Singing Marching on Together .

Please support it !!

whether your a leeds fan , Gary Speed fan or feel its a worthy cause !

Yorkshire Radio reckon its stands a good chance of getting in the charts if its released

the campaign is only a few days old and already its passed 1,000 !

Georgie and her backing muscians are on Yorkshire Radio this morning after 11 am !!

Its in two parts and the first part she was asked to sing a football terrace song - but she has put a real

spin on it ! its really nice atcually !! 2nd part has her singing her original - sunrise ..

see above post ...something amazing happened with her version of a football song guys !

I'm still alive ! and back with some great news !

Yep folks im still alive .. so sorry to all the follows who have been patiently waiting for a blog post .... so much has happened i really don't know where to begin ... i'l try and sum it up very very brief , soph moving , house decorating , new bathroom and kitchen for soph , family health scares ( and one that wasnt ) Georgie being burgled ........ internet on and off , pc troubles ... the list could go on and on ........ any the final and big news is ...................................... Remember how you wonderful crafters supported Georgette ( my daughter ) by buying some fimo earrings to help her pay for a keyboard so she could go to collage ? ...Well she couldnt get a keyboard - it was just too much money so she got a guitar instead and went on a guitar course .. she did 10 weeks on the course and then was hoping to go to music collage in september to learn the craft and go further into the music side of things . however she didnt get there because
..she didnt need to !!!

Georgette entered a competition called open Mic Uk a national singing comp , the prize is a record deal and £30, 000 investment ......... she sailed through the auditions and sailed through the regionals ...and was in the judges top 8,. she is now in the Areas and if she gets through that shes performing her original and a cover at the indigo arena in at the 02 in London and competeing for that record deal !!!!!!!!!

Its also being filmed by sky for a two part series in January ! So you may well see Georgie on the telly too !

Oh but theres more !!!!!! she been giging , busking and has lots of various acoustic sessions booked on Radio , plus one of her covers has been aired on radio too !!! its been totally manic !!!

She also collaborated with a rapper and wrote and recorded some tracks which are now being aired on American radio stations and theres talk of needing to go out there ......... see told ya its been manic !!

And guess whos roped in into helping and organising - yep me and Soph being a good cook is in charge of making sure Georgette and her guitarists are eating well and healthy ! Turning up with food and health snacks to keep them going ! It also gets Soph out which is good thing.

So i hope you will all understand how manic life has been ... and thankyou to all those that have bought earrings - its helped Georgette in so many ways - its an expensive buisness to get started i have to say !

I will be crafting again in a week or so ... but in the meantime you can see Georgettes winning performance ..

I was about a 1/3 down in the audience filming there were a few hundred at least in the audience.
She had 3 minutes to perform a cover and her original " Fall for you .. the cover is her own regaee / folk version of "nothin compares to u " hope you all enjoy it x

Georgette has now just recorded her debut E.P which will be released soon ... everything has just taken off so quick for her ... its been unbelievable !

cuddly buddly challenge card !

Its Friday and today is the 3rd challenge of cuddly buddly ! It was my turn to choose the challenge theme and this weeks challenge if Bright colours and butterflies !

For my dt card this week ive used cuddly buddly digi image - a good book by "bits of ivory"

I love that cat snuggling into her legs - he looks like he is enjoying the story ! heheeeee

The curtain update is that a case has been filed - so that will take a few days ....

and a VERY BIG THANK YOU TO ALL that suggested options for the curtains - i knew all you wonderful crafters would come up with something ! As soon as i know from Ebay what is

decided then that will determine whether they have to be sent back or not. or allowed to be repaired.I am hoping for the later ... as soph loves the curtains.

Needing help fellow bloggers - can you save the day ????

There is about to be a damsel in distress ..... as most of you know soph is moving out of the

supported unit she is in to independent living ... shes moving into a little flat with a support worker visiting once a week - and me everyday ofcourse !

Well bloggers disaster has struck ... soph saw some curtains on ebay - they very ones she wanted

listed as new and undamaged ... they arrived today - obviously seconds and ripped !!!!!

Bought for £55 plus £7.00 postage - alot of money for ripped seconds !

A label cut like that are seconds - i am very annoyed this was not stated on the listing at all !!!

Nor was the mention of the rip on the eyelet !

A refund was asked for but the seller will not give the refund untill she recieves the curtains back ... soph is gonna end up out of pocket ..and very disapointed - grrrrrrrrrrr the curtains are heavy and i do not trust the seller to say she has recieved them or to give the refund - why should we if the listing was dishonest to start with ??? if a dispute with ebay is opened soph will

not get the money back intime to kit the flat out - she gets the keys next week...

So .... can anyone advise if this can be mended ????

and the best place ( cheap to lol ) in leeds if it can be ?

As you can see the eyelet looks like its come away - it is in fact more ripped on the edge of it , rather than pulled away from the eyelet .. if these were used the material would rip further everytime they were drawn closed..... can this be repaired ? i am not brill with sewing - but if it can be repaired is it simple to do ie could a non expert do it ?

I'd be so grateful for advise on this as soph set her heart on these.

2nd Post of the Day !! GDT - sketch - The Princess and the Frog ..

Due to a very greedy helping of some gorgeous sherry triffle ( lots of sherry in it ) and two glasses of wine i am real late with my GDT for the Creative Inspirations Challenge this week - which was infact yesterday ! my apologiies to all ... im feeling alitttle better , but not much - which just serves me right really ! dont mix sherry and wine !

The Creative Inspirations challenge this week is a gorgeous sketch !

Anyway , one of the reasons i got into fimo was because i used to tell my girls stories when they were little .

One day Georgie ask me to make her a fairy and thats how i found fimo .. well when i did this card,

It reminded me of those times i would make a model for the girls and tell them a story about it ..

I could'nt resist making a Princess and a Prince frog ! heheeeeeee and he really is a very

cute frog - i would even kiss him myself !!

See , isnt he a cutie ! I do think he should be going to specsavers though ! heheee !

glittered then so they are all sparkly !

Today is the Whiff of Joy challenge and i'd like to share this card i've made ... the challenge is a fabulous sketch by Michele ,

I've used the darling stamp called "willow catching leaves " i love her flowing dress !

I have accented the flowers and the tag with some fimo swirls and roses.

Thats all from me today folks - Im nursing a hangover - from some sherry triffle ! hehee

It was so gorgeous i had two helpings and got a bit tiddly on it , my neighbours daughter made it and put half

a bottle of sherry in it , and together with two glasses of red wine , im afraid it

really got to me !

Well its been a good day and a bad day today - Soph , and me and a friend went shopping today to get some curtains for her new flat .. She was really excited ! The curtains were not in stock and so we had to ordered them ... as we were stood there at the counter calvin phoned , i had to quickly say " i phone you back " but then couldnt get a signal ... about 1 hr later i managed to get hold of him Poor love had been on a walk in the forest and twisted his ankle so bad that he phoned me to stop himself from passing out ... and i had quickly said ( not realising )- hold on , il phone you back .... !!! when i did get hold of him he was on his way Accident and Emergancy . ..

He is ok but its badly sprained .. poor love is at home resting up so we all need to send him healing vibes ... im trying not laugh ...sorry but my calvin is sooooo accident prone its untrue ... i call him the real life Frank Spencer heeeeheee... nothing surprises me with that fella !

anyway I think i had better get on with this weeks papertake Card!

Well its been bright sunshine here in Yorkshire and ive managed to pick up a bargain for

my daughter soph - a little pine dresser !

I am going to sand it and make it shabby chic for her (she loves that style)

Well i say im going to sand it - its more likely calvin will be doing that elbow grease part -

i shall be painting it lol ...

I might do some before and after photos ..

I'm attempting to clean and tidy my craft room .... attempting is the word - i keep getting side tracked !

Anyway ive come accross some unused stamps and flower embellies - I have noticed ive obviously taken the letters out for a look and replaced the wrong way round ! silly old me !

any hows there are free to a good home if anyone wants them , i no longer have use for them and thought someone may have , i will random pick the person tomorrow ,

Whiff of Joy GDT set .. sending love ...

Well i have alittle something to share ... for the next few months i shall be Guest dt member for the fabulous whiff of Joy ! So without further a do i shall introduce you to my latest set ...

This set is really bright and cheerful .. I used copics and prisma pencils - you can really tell the difference can't you - so much more depth to the colouring .

I've used Melinda blowing kisses for this card and team her up with a gorgeous mix of old K and Co papers and the rose paper is from the Girls paperie range - ive muted the roses down with a light prisma pencil.-

It's such a shame that you can't see the detailed flowers as well as in real , as i have dipped them in embossing powder and give them a dose of glittery stickles . It gives them almost soft fuffy look

. The sentiment is whiff of Joy and is suppose to match up with a die - however me being me ive used the die in a different way and folded it in half for the tab.

and now for the matching dolly..

She has little hearts on her dress and hat... and is holding a large heart with flowers on .

Today is the new challenge on the Lili of the Valley challenge blog ... and this week the challenge is bring on the music - so music inspired -

“BRING ON THE MUSIC” make a creation featuring Music, a Song Nursery Rhyme, Christmas Carol, Musical Notes etc.

Hmmm well i might have read it wrong on the brief abit as mine is more about a song and i didnt included any musical notes on it ..lol

This is one of the new Images from Lili of the Valley , shes called Daisy chain and is sooo

gorgeous , shes playing with her teddy and making him daisy chains , heheeee

I could not get the song " just wanna be your teddy bear " out of my head when i saw this gorgeous image.

I bet every teddy in the land would like to be pampered and loved by little daisy , and ofcourse , i had to make something a bit special to match .... what better than a teddy bears picnic ?

lets have a looksie shall we ?

Lots of little details on the fimo scene .. did you notice the little tiny teddy on dollies hat ?

I've patchworked the fimo into a little table cloth that matches the patchwork prima paper on the card.

Oh my look at teddy , he is soooooooo longing for that last piece of delicious chocolate strawberry cake !

The cream on the cake was actually piped on lol ...

and now for the card ..

I've used Prima papers "madeleine " and a gorgeous trinket from charmed cards ,

the gingham bias is from Creative Treasures ,

The image is from lili of the Valley - new release girls,

the metal corners ive stolen from calvins crafty stash he left here ( shhhhhhh) lol .

Oh and i nicked some of his fimo too .Just a little bit .. oh and maybe some chain for the charm ...

ahhhhh and i might have taken his lolly sticks and cut them in half and used them for my glue .... too .. but everything else is mine heeheeee ! actually i did run out of card and

i think prehaps i might have just taken a snidgy bit of that too ,,but whos counting eh ?

(shhhhhhh) he probably wont come on here anyway !

Its gonna be a busy day today - we are off to sophs new flat , her OT ( ocupational theapist is seeing if

theres needs to be some adaptations for her ... i know the bath will go for sure and a wet room put in.

Theres nothing cuter than a teddy is there !

Meet Toby ! He is a gorgeous Digi from Cuddly Buddly ! and i shall be working with these gorgeous digis and many more as i can now spill the beans and tell you I am one of the many new Challenge blog DT at the new Cuddly Buddly challenge blog due to start on 1st July ! You can meet the other fabulous Dt here and see the gorgeous creations..

His full name is Toby Tumble , and he is by Pachela Studios at cuddly buddly. This Toby is called " I've been Painting ! " I've coloured Toby with my usual copics.

The sentiment is also a digi - great as you can adjust the size to want you need it to be.

I've used bits of ivory - garden Vignettes ticket sentiments .

and here is a little teddy for the card .. He is watching a little bee on his foot ! You can't tell on the photograph but the bee does have wings ! I think he thinks he has made a friend !

Ohhhhhhh im naughty - i just couldn't resist making a Dolly with this new Lili of the Valley stamp - ( to be released June 14th )

I'm afraid the light isn't too good on the card - its not quite as pale as that in real .

The darling image is called Emma - " Birthday Present "

here's a picture of the inside of the card and Dolly ,

dolly is sitting on a huge pile of gorgeous presents. Theres lots of little details on dolly,

a big beautiful bow and heart on her hat and a heart on her dress too .

dolly is approx 10 cm high - much taller than my usual - she is sitting on a pile of presents ,

I wonder which Teddy has their Birthday ? I think the little chappie on the right is also wondering too heheeeee !

So this is the card ive created for my GDT with Creative inspirations

I've used a gorgeous little bear from Lili of the Valley

and the ribbon is from my DT kit from Creative Treasures.

The papers ive had for an age , im afraid i cant remember the make of them .

The sentiment is an autum leaves stamp - theres a number of them in a pack .

Dont look too close on this card - i must have been abit tired - ive gone over the lines a few times lol

I should have used my white pen to hide the mistake but its dried up ! lol

Anyway since we are talking about the "man in your life " subject i just wanted to share something with you ... Only tonight i was having a very good gab to a lovely fellow blogger Rach Jakes , talking about how clumsy Calvin is .. he is soo clumsy i wouldnt of blamed her if she thought that i was exaggerating ...Now If you know my Calvin you will know that he has got to be the clumsiest person you will ever know ...

....................and true to form as soon as i put the phone down Calvin called to say he was just riding his bike when it clipped the pavement and he went head over heels over the

handlebars .... hes a bit bruised but he is ok .. i tell you this man could give Frank Spencer a run for his money ... you think im joking ?

In the last month he has

stabbed his own leg with a bush craft knife - so deep it needed stitches ( oh he did the stitch part himself !)

Swallowed a mouthful of eyelets - yes the crafty kind .. why did he do this .. well

he was repairing a plastic greenhouse with a cropadile and forgot they were in his mouth ( gulp !)

He accidently put washing up LIQUID into the washing machine , as he was trying

to wash up and do the clothes washing at the sametime and accidently mixed it up ..

and yes the kitchen was full of suds.

Split his shin open on the garden bench yesterday and ..

accidently hammered his hand- and it swelled up .

If you have never seen Calvins blog its here Even his blog header has a first aid kit in the pic -and believe me it is well used ! lol when he first started bloggin he ask what a good name for his blog would be - i think he made the right choice when i suggested he called it

Mishaps in the Making .. heheee .

watch this space as next time he is up in leeds we are supposed to be going ice skating ..I may just watch ...

Since you all loved the post on Soph and Mojo this is them together yesterday teatime--- we took the dog for a picnic ! rofl ..... notice the back pack ? bought especially for mojos belongings lol ...

it contains his water bottle , toys and baby wipes ... oh yes that dog has the cleanest bottom in doggie land ! lol

and afterwards he was shattered !

Soph and mojo just waking up after a nap on the settee .. The both get really tired and yes he slept like that on her !

Oh does that dog loves to snuggle ... he has got to be the snugglest dog ever - always trying to get on your lap and snuggle in like a baby lol .. he even puts his paw on your face like a child would ! I am sure Georgie is gonna miss Mojo's cuddles now that he's gone to soph, but according to soph , Georgie i think will be doing some doggie sitting when Soph has to go out so I am sure she will get her cuddles then !

Im afraid we did actually last year have to ban him from his teddy - he lovvvvvved his teddy abit too much shall we say !

I guess thats why he was called Mojo ! lol

Tilda butterfly Topper and some news !

Well its been a real busy week with my Soph - We went to look at her new flat not too far away from me ...

Its in a bit of a state so it looks like theres going to be lots of decorating in the next few months ... the place is covered in that horrible old woodchip paper .. ..Georgie (my other daughter ) goes to a lovely and very caring church , one of the lovely members said her and a few others can help Soph too -- how nice is that ?

Soph is really looking forward to moving in - she has little mojo the dog now ( Georgie has given him to her) .But i think shes a bit scared too -- Shes been in a unit now for nearly a year so this will be her first proper time by herself .. Soph as most of you know has Aspergers and mobility problems ... The flat has like a small outer house - im sure she will be turning that into a crafty room ( she loves doing bits and pieces)

So it will just be Soph and mojo ! I kid you not when i say she spoils him , that dog ( jack russell) has a better , warmer coat than me , a better bed ( memory foam !) and flippen eats better food than me !!

So far this week both Calvin and I have had dozens of phonecalls - and ofcourse its the usual you get from your kids - "not how are you mum" but ... can i have ...which usually means something to do with money lol .

So far shes asked for the dog - a special cooler coat ( to keep him cool in summer ) - a backpack so he can help with her shopping ---- oh the best is yet to come --- get this one ... SEARCH AND RESCUE BOOTS !! ( this is for the dog !)

The mind just boggles ! I am just so glad shes not on the internet at least she cant go doggie accessorie shopping , cos im sure the next question would be - "can we put towards a doggie stroller "...and theres no flippen way im walking out with her with that !!!!

I do have to remember that Soph is a loner , little mojo is her really her only company , she's just so funny when she asks for stuff for him lol ...

Anyway i have totally waffled onto too much today .. so

heres my Tilda card Topper.

I have used prima Annalee papers from charmed cards and some of Karens gorgeous sparkly cotton lace too .. ( very pretty in real) The Tilda stamp is from the butterfly dreams collection.

The sentiment is a pink gems designs one ( link on chat box ) and ive used martha stewart leaf punch.

The gorgeous wooden butterfly and dove i got from ebay .. i painted them and then added

some stickles around the edge ..

Oh i nearly forgot ! Some news for ya , Lili of the Valley is having a 10% off all purchases

Well i've been keeping a secret .......... but today im sharing it lol ..... I was invited to join the very talented design team at ... Lili of the Valley Challenge blog !... with all those cute fairies and teddie stamps how could i resist ?
So i am now

You know how i lovvvvve my fairies .... so this week for my first Dt for LOTV challenge i decided to use a fairy stamp and made fimo fairy to match the card.The challenge this week at LOTV is " Punch it " use your punches and die cuts ... great easy challenge there !

So onto the card ..

I've used the Birthday Fairy stamp
how cute is she !
The heart is a chipboard die from a sizzix die and ive copic coloured the metal
corners to match the card colours. The cotton lace is from charmed cards and is sparkly !
and the papers are Prima " madeleine"

With the card i also made a little fairy ..

there she is clutching teddy close . .. she has a present at the side of her and
some over flower glitter pots at her feet . Its difficult to tell from the picture , but her wings are pinkish with spots on.

GDT Creative Inspirations - Cute Teddy Bea with Fimo teddy charm..

Ive been such a busy bee this morning and this afternoon with docs , dogs , hospitals , and an unexpected encounter ! I may have to pop back later and edit some links in lol

This week at creative inspirations our challenge is ...Cute teddies - no people

So this week ive made a topper with the gorgeous Teddy Bea ! Such a cutie .

I have made a Teddy fimo charm - as the Teddy does look alot like Teddy Bea - I asked

Teddy 's Mum ( Gayle ) lol if it was ok and she said yes ... thanks hun xxxxx

Now i am sooo pooped out that im off for a little nap - im afraid i will have to put my challenges on

later ... ive had such an afternoon ... i met a lady while out , bless her - i didnt know her at all - but she knew me ... she asked if i had ever contemplated suiside ? - i knew then this lady was very unwell and gave her a

cuddle xxx she cried in my arms , they lady looked just like you and me - no different ..... she didnt even look unwell ... to cut along story short - she wouldnt stay with me and walked away , however ,

I managed to trace her Drs with the help of the local chemist opposite..

She had just bought some packets of paracetamol from there ..( hmmmmm ) . they had no idea what was going on in head ..Hopefully as i am writing this post the lady is getting the help she needs xxx In fact i am sure she is ..

You never now what life throws at you - i just hope that if i was ever that poorly i might meet someone that helps me ... makes you think doesnt it .. i actually feel like my troubles are not even worth thinking about .

This is a fabulous pad - the designs in it are great for both male and female cards. I always struggle finding decent paper suitable for both.

So i decided to do something about alittle orphan i had in the craft room !!

I had already made a dolly a while back , so when i saw the lili of the Valley challenge i decided to make a card to match and just add a matching bow to the dollies hat .

I've used Rasberry Road digital papers for the card and some gorgeous Gingham seam binding from Creative Treasures DT kit.

Lets have a look a dolly shall we ?

She is abit smaller than my usual dolls - and not as big as my Strawberry dolly topper set so i have decided to give this away ..

She has'nt got a name yet - maybe the new owner will give her one ?

The theme at lili of the valley challenge is here comes Summer

and sat with her huge ice- cream she is perfect for the summer colours ive used on the card.

Hee hee what a messy pup she is - look at all that dribbling chocolate sauce covered in sherbet and thousand and ones lol.

Tilda "rainbow 2011 " strawberry Fimo topper set ..

Oh how i love making little fimo strawberries and when i saw the new Rainbow tilda

collection had a strawberry tilda in - well i just could not resist it !!

I have to say the pictures don't really do this set justice - it is so pretty in real life.

Isnt little Tilda gorgeous munching her strawberry ! Ive made a fimo dolly to match this

Topper - adorned with fimo strawberries !

She looks quite home style country there with her red gingham bow on her head band !

I think the name Matilda suits her, how she cute looks with her head tilted to the side .

Matilda's been busy ! ... her basket is over flowing with all the delicious strawberries she's picked !

Matilda is very useful too - my fimo dollies dont have to be just for show they can be used as

cake toppers too .

The new Gorjuss .......

Oooooh have you seen the new Gorjuss stamps ? Its been a while since any were released and i just had to get a couple .. If you havent had the chance to see them yet , they are at

funky kits .

I've used some scrap paper and some lace and decorative metal corners.

The gorgeous crystals ( in amongst the blooms ) i had in my DT kit from Creative Treasures and a fab price they are too ! ..

I love the images of these new stamps but i do have a few grievences with them , new gorjuss stamps seem to be a bit bigger than the other ones , it didnt fit in the nestie ,

so i had to do a "out of the nestie " technique on it. Shame santoro's who do the stamp

didnt make it smaller and put the copyright higher up or at the side .. as it makes

it difficult to keep it.

Not sure what santoro's policy is on selling , so will let you know on that one.

Sorry to those that missed the ebay of the Cotton rabbit set - it sold within the hour.sorry folks if you didnt get the chance x

Theres nothing like a little bunny love ! and this set i made for the Wednesday creative Challenge Dt... which is lace and pearls this week.

Awwww two little cute bunnies ... Remember this cute little cotton rabbit from sugar nellie ?-

she must be at least a couple of years old by now ! well i decided that she really needs to be inked up again - i forgot how cute she was ! I've made the little fimo polymer clay rabbit to match and there she is eating away at her very delishious chocolate strawberry cake ! heheee ! ( probably made by calvin mouse !)

I really enjoyed making this and was really chuffed that it turned out so pretty -

Look theres a little strawberry on the cake...

The cake looks like sponge at the side - i think the camera has only just picked the detail up .

Not sure what to call this fimo bunny - she looks like a Flo to me , what do you think does

Heres the topper to match ... the gorgeous lace is from my dt kit from Creative Treasure and if you look

carefully theres some beautiful crystal pearls stems - and even better they are in the sale at creative treasures.

The pink gem centre on the bow is also on sale there too .

The topper is made up of a combination of magnolia paper and Raspberry road digi paper.

The edges have either been inked or distressed.

Well i have finally managed to get some printer ink - ive been without it for yonks and yonks !

With so many gorgeous digi papers and digi stamps out there it was hard going not having any.

The papers I have used on this topper are from Raspberry Road digital papers- they were so delish in the store i just could not resist them - this one is called Josephine and the digi stamp is Teddy Bo .

Now i had a little trouble with my printer settings on these digi papers - so if anyone

out there uses epson stylus photo r285 printer for digi paper - pleassssssse advice me on the

settings for it ... these ones turn out ok - but im having alittle trouble with other papers !

I always think it does make the card so much more special when its decorated both at the front

and the inside . For this card i have used a gorgeous Elisabeth Bell image - actually its my boyfriends stamp that i nicked off him lol .

I won the challenge over at Creative Inspirations Wednesday Challenge blog ! I won the may Guest designer spot ! thanks girls .. This week the challenge is embossing ..

Oh bless little Tilda shes waving goodbye .. lots of flowers and ribbon bow adorn this topper .

The gorgeous diamonte circle at the top left corner is a ribbon slider - but i have slid it under the corner of the paper instead .

You may wonder where the embossing is on this topper - well its here...

I could have heated the embossing powder up more - but i rather like the smooth and rough texture .

The shape i have used is from a sizzix bigz die and ive added a brad. Ofcourse you can dry emboss too with the challenge it doesnt have to be powder and heat embossing .

I dont often use this little tilda - but she is a sweetie - love her boots !

The papers i have used are charmed cards - prima pad - i think theres a mixture of a few scraps in there too !

Fairy Ballerina and Dt Papertake .

Oh my , i have been trying to up load this all day ! For some reason blogger just is not uploading my pictures very well at all .... anyway today is Papertake weekly challenge and this week its anything goes .

with the optional extra of something round . So i have a gorgeous embroidered brad in the middle of the bow.

So pretty .Beautiful ballerina Tilda is there and i have added some wings to her to make her alittle ballerina fairy !

I would just like let you all know ... there has been a huge surge on cd's on ebay that contain handmade cards - images ... However one of them ( and i only know of one at the moment ) Had Bev Rochesters Card to advertise it .It appears that this person is stealing photos from blogs - and going way back into the blogs as the card of Bevs was blogged in 2008 .. This is not on and id just like to say if any of you have bought these cd's and reconise any of my cards there or anyone elses , please let them know x

This is not on ... i have no problems with people saving pics into there own personal folder for inspiration but not to steal photos for profit . I am sure this could effect all of us , so please be aware .

Just because its Seasonal !

Now then how many of us have stamps that are seasonal or for a particular calender event

and once that is over they go to the bottom of the drawer ? Well you might want to get them back out.

Just because a stamp is seasonal does not mean to say it can't be used.

This is one example - On my topper i have used Tilda's egg cart - meant really for Easter!

It is suppose to have eggs in the cart - but theres flowers there instead !

There are a few ways you can do this -

Mask it -

mask the stamp

or do what i did - i just put some masking tape over the stamp where i didnt what the image , inked it up, took the tape off and then stamped. I then stamp tilda separate and cut her out .

So the cart was'nt bare i punched out some leaves and flowers then added brads.

I now have a stamp that i can use over and over again and no longer sits at the bottom of the pile ! Have a look in your stamp drawer and see what you can find !

No what matter what sketch i do i always manage to cover it up with embellies - i really should

try the style of less is more , me thinks ! but i can't help myself . Once the stash box is out

The papers are from Prima Reflections , from charmed cards and crafts and ive added a bit of red copic to it , just to make it a bit

redder on some of the leaves to match the colouring on the stamp. I also added some stickles to the paper too. This is a great way of getting all your colours matching.

Sugar nellie Elizabeth Bell fimo strawberry enhanced card !

If you have been a follower for awhile you may remember my fimo strawberry sugar and chocolate dipped earrings ?

Well ive made them even smaller ! Only they are not earrings but a charm and strawberries for her hat !!

Sometimes you make a card and wished you did'nt have part with it - this is that card for me ! lol .

Pretty melinda guardian Angel card.

I was lucky to receive these gorgeous gorgeous Prima papers (reflections ) from a very large DT kit

from charmed cards - you can get these in A4 size as well as the smaller 6 x 6 pads.

Lots to see on this card

I've made a fimo pin with fimo hearts dangling from the chain .

and edged the top of the card with bobble trim .

I've used German Glass glitter from meyer imports to decorated the flowers from wild orchid. - such gorgeous glitter !

and i have cut and glittered some butterflies from the prima paper ( you can't see from the pic , but there are

glittered with stickles.)

Card candi has been added to the heart.

Melindas wings are also slightly glittered.

The inside of the card is decorated too.

Well . well , well what have we here ? Why its a flock of fimo fairies ! heheeeee

I spent yesterday trying to finish these little pests off with my daughter Georgie....and my they were fiddly little blighters ! they are about height of a 2p piece !

The ones standing are just waiting for Georgie to put the earring finding in the eyepin.

Georgie my daughter and i made them for a purpose -

Why did we make them ? Well as most of you know I have two daughters both with aspergers.My eldest is Georgie , and she loves singing .. shes 22. Shes not a bad little singer either and is so confident . Singing is in her blood - her Grandad was Ronnie Hilton - who had a number 1 (no other love ) and various top number charts hits many many years ago - some of you may remember the song " a mouse lived in a windmill in old Amsterdam" ? well that was her Grandad ! Sadly he died a number of years ago , if he was alive today i am sure he would have helped her alot .. But as it is she has to help herself - so she went to enrol at music collage and found out she needed to be grade 5 in music... which she isnt that high - so what does the little trouper do ? Not to be put off , she went and started piano lessons - once a week - she funds this by helping her Nana out .

Unfortuntly she doesnt have a piano to practice on - Her church allow her to use thiers to practice and one of the church members very kindly lets Georgie goe around to her house and practice on thiers too. This is not ideal . so she is saving for a digital piano ( (£400) , it has to be digital because of her elderly neighbours and it has headphones .

Well i cant sing , so i cant help her there - but i can help her by teaching her fimo and making stuff with her and

giving a shout out on my blog for her ! lol.

Do not be fooled by thier cuteness - They do need a constant supply of glitter so you will need to keep an eye on your stash !
Molly and Mavis are particually troublesome - Mavis has obviously had to much of
the fairy falling down water ....... hmmmmmmm .

I am not sure what happened to blogger this morning but its been soooooo slow uploading. Heres a topper and fimo set I've made for my Papertake Weekly challenge Dt which is

I so enjoyed making this ...

I've used Peaches tilda - but with some careful shading they look just like apples !

I have been teaching my daughter Georgie how to make earrings , cakes , ice cream cones etc

she already really knows , but it was fun playing ! Shes saving up for a digital piano , so thought she could sell some to friends.

Whilst i had the fimo out i thought i would make

an apple charm for the topper and some matching earrings.The apples on the earrings have been munched into hee heeee !!!

Georgie said i should have put alittle worm wriggling out of them !

Well i've been a bit naughty ... im late for my Dt papertake weekly challenge .. very late .. this took far

longer than i expected . Not because it was hard , but with life bits and pieces getting in the way it was difficult having the time to finish it !

I've used basic grey papers and some scrap papers from my stash..

Once again the weather has just been gorgeous today in leeds - i so love it when its so bright and sunny !

I spent last night making this topper ..

Ive used one of the older tildas - i think its from the shabby chic collection a few years back.

The metal flower and the decorative oval are from the Bo Bunny Trinkets - i love these !

I've use a martha stewart border punch underneth for the tab end.

I've also used a gorgeous prima flower and some flowers from orchid crafts.. The leaves are again a martha stewart punch ..... Hold on a minute ........... whats that in the photo ???

Hmmmmmm i reconise that ear and that whisker !!

Right come on out then ........

Well i am sure this beautiful sunshine we are having in the U.K had an influence on the colours i chose for this topper - Bright and colourful ! just makes you instantly cheered up !

Sorry folks for not posting this last week - i've been a real busy bee with family stuff .

The weather has finally brightened up and im loving this sunshine - just makes you want to get up and go somewhere nice , dont you think ?

Well today ive been trying to catch up and have been a busy making cards and toppers.

I think this one is my favourite of the day ..
A real pretty sugar nellie - Daisy !

I love these textured Prima blooms - so pretty and delicate.

Theres a real combination of papers here - most of the scraps i had - i know for sure the brown one is

from Prima " madeleine" pad. and so too are the pretty butterflies ive cut from the paper and added

some pearls .

The pink behind - well that didtnt quite match so i added some burgandy copics to the flowers and

viola ! matching papers ! hee heeeee ! They are also glittered .

I've decorated the inside to match to.

I really really enjoyed making this card and i adore blues and browns together.

I really raided my stash on this one !

Ive used sigar nellie - Elisabeth Bell stamp.

I had some beautiful fabric k and co brads with little gems on , i could not resist using one on

this card it was so pretty.

I've glittered the blooms and made a German glass glittered heart (glitter sky blue) and edged it with

skickles and ink... The glitter .is actually more of

a grey / silvery blue.

I've used the "out of the nestie " technique for the image and nestibility .

The edges of the paper is sewn and inked.

and theres little heart charm dangling from the blooms at the top.

Tilda in the Pink and Copic Tutorial.

I've had lots of catching up to do since coming back from Calvins .... but i've had a few hours today to make some toppers - and this one i totally adored making ..its so pretty in real.

Tilda is from the "so special collection " and i've coloured her with darker skin tones ... some people find darker skin tricky ... i use these colours in this order..and this is my favourite copic combination.

It maybe be different from other peoples - but this is how i colour ..

R43 - cheeks ,E21, E53 ,E33 , E34, E15

I use a combination of small circular strokes and light sketchy brush strokes.

Copic Skin Tone Tutorial .

1. colour cheeks - i use R43 - but any bright reddish pink will be fine

2. colour the whole face with E21.

3. Using E53 colour around the edge and into the face but not quite all the way into the middle -

4. Next using E33 colour around the edge but not quite in as far as the E43.

5. Now do the same with E34, again not as far in as the previous colour .

6. Go around the edge of the face with E15.

7. Now blend all the colours gently with E53 going right over the whole face.You may need to practice how much blending to do as it is easy to do too much and have a mottled effect.

You may wish to touch up the cheeks alittle with a slightly paler pinky red.

What a gorgeous day it has been today - bright beautiful sunshine , such a lovely change ! I photographed this Tilda topper on the window sill and i love how clear it makes photos - much better than my photo tent.

I've used the gorgeous stamps from the new magnolia stamp club spring collection 2011 .. Tilda is so adorable with her little bunny ! The papers are from the A4 size Prima pad - Reflections collection from Charmed Crafts - i must say the A4 size is a fabulous size to use for cards as there is still some left over for all the mats for layers .. i actually prefer it to 6 x 6 sizes.The pad is available HERE .

I've made a embossed a chipboard heart with layered inks and powders in matching colours .

If your wondering why i haven't been blogging , ive had a real bad cold and im using Calvins computor ... and i am not getting along with it at all !

Apart from the fact it takes ages to do anything on , it does not have my usual links on and it does not seem to like my blog - everything i try and upload takes ages ! arghhhh ..

I've been using Calvins stash still , and a limited supply of stamps lol ..i did bring some DT papers down with me and thats what ive used on this topper also a Sarah Kay stamp.

The papers are from Charmed cards and is more of the Prima pads - again this one is "madeleine " range.

I have something really special waiting at home to finish using these papers and some fimo too , but you 'l have to wait im afraid until the weekend and i should have a chance to finish it for then..

Not only im i nicking his stash but also his camera -- which judging by the quality of the photo does not

like me either ! lol ..

Sweet Elisabeth Bell card ...

Well i was naughty and raided Calvins craft stash once again !

I did bring some papers but not many stamps or blooms .

In Calvins stash i found one of his favourite stamps - Elisabeth Bell one .

I believe these old designs are being released again very soon .

I think im right in saying , that this was the stamp that caused Calvin ( my boyfriend) to make a stamp guardian - the infamous Rotty Rat !

The incident went around blogs all around the world .It was all very funny .

For all you long regular followers you may remember the incident of the sugar nellie Elisabeth Bell stamp being posted to my address and not Calvins -

and i refused to give it back , which caused several months of blog posts of

him torturing my Calvin mouse ! ( my fimo blog mouse )- oh he was so cruel ! lol.

I got my own back by encouraging everyone to make an Elisabeth bell card and post them on thier blogs

and send the link to Calvin ! hehee - i can be cruel too !

anyway back to the card - yes this time its a card and not a topper.

I've coloured the stamp with copics and the papers are again the gorgeous

prima pad "madeline" available from charmed cards and crafts .

lots of detail on this card , a tassle from Calvins stash and some metal corners too .
